SEGA just announced Total War: Elysium for PC and mobile platforms. Total War: Elysium is a collectible card game that is free to play (as expected). It is being developed separately from the mainline Total War games at SEGA but there might be some content shared when a new historical Total War experience is released. Cards in Total War: Elysium can be earned through Battle Packs that can be bought and crafted. The plan is to launch with 300 cards and 9 generals that will be released through the closed beta period. If you’ve not played the tons of card games on mobile yet or have been waiting for one with a setting like this, Total War: Elysium might be worth checking out. Watch the first trailer for Total War: Elysium below:
Total War: Elysium‘s closed beta is only available on Android. You need Android 5 or later, 1 GB RAM or higher, and 4 GB of space for the game. You can sign up for it here. The team is still working to optimise the game for PC but mobile is a priority for the closed beta. Total War: Elysium will feature many factions from the mainline Total War games and some new ones. The in-game economy in Total War: Elysium will be tweaked during the beta to ensure the full launch feels fair to all. I’m curious to see how the team brings in content to coincide with new historical releases because there are loads of high quality Total War games on PC and more already coming. Until then, You can play the premium conversions from the franchise on mobile.
