Goichi Suda (Suda51) and Hidetaka Suehiro (Swery65) Just Announced a New Horror Game That Could Come to Mobile, Nintendo Switch, and Stadia

Unorthodox game reveals are nothing new to fans of Goichi Suda who is mostly known as Suda51 among gaming circles. He is most known for the No More Heroes series which is getting a new entry on Nintendo Switch next year. Hidetaka Suehiro is most known as Swery65 and is most known for Deadly Premonition and more recently The Missing on consoles and PC. Having only gotten into Suda51’s games over the last few years, I can see why he has such a cult following. Swery65’s The Missing is a fantastic experience despite the tech issues on consoles. Both of them announced a new horror game on an IGN Japan stream. Watch the full stream below:

It is currently called Project Barcelona and has come as a collaboration between Suda51 and Swery65 after a PlayStation VR game plan was cancelled. Currently this is planned to be a light and easy to play game that can be picked up on mobile, Nintendo Switch, and Google Stadia. It is unclear if it will come to all these platforms eventually and whether more will be added since the project doesn’t have a publisher but discussions are apparently happening with Devolver Digital according to IGN. Jukio Kallio who did the excellent soundtrack for Minit and more is interested in doing the soundtrack for this project. More details for this project will be revealed next week alongside a logo designed by Suda51. What’s your favourite game from Suda51 and Swery65?
