SEGA announced Project Sekai back in August as a new Hatsune Miku mobile game for iOS and Android developed by Colourful Palette. Colourful Palette is a new studio by Craft Egg (Bang Dream) for this game. Today, SEGA had a long stream showcase for the game that revealed the final game name, story details, and even gameplay. Project Sekai: Colorful Stage! feat. Hatsune Miku is set to release on iOS and Android in the future featuring a story about new idols and Hatsune Miku interacting. Watch the new showcase video below:
Project Sekai: Colorful Stage! feat. Hatsune Miku has virtual singers who have different appearances in the mysterious world of Sekai. The game will feature Hatsune Miku, Luka Megurine, Rin Kagaime, Meiko, Kaito, and more virtual singers. The game will let you travel between the real world and Sekai through a song. Gameplay looks a lot like DEEMO where notes fly towards you from the top of the screen across a horizontal plane. Project Sekai: Colorful Stage! feat. Hatsune Miku will also have multiple costumes and difficulty options. Check out a gameplay video for it below:
Out of the songs revealed so far, I’m glad Miracle Paint made it in. That song got me to try the Hatsune Miku games on PS Vita in the first place. Other revealed songs so far include Just Be Friends, Sweet Magic, Roki, and more. Project Sekai: Colorful Stage! feat. Hatsune Miku still doesn’t have a release date sadly. Have you played any of the Hatsune Miku games?
