I’ve been eagerly anticipating Long Hat House’s upcoming slingshotting Metroidvania adventure Dandara since I first posted about it way back in May of 2016. Based loosely on the actual historical figure Dandara, in this game you’ll be swiping to launch yourself from surface to surface across levels that can twist and turn as you defy gravity and forget everything you know about “up" or “down" while simultaneously battling all manner of cool enemies in an effort to free your people from oppression. Since that initial reveal a couple of years ago, Long Hat House has partnered up with Raw Fury to finish off Dandara and bring it to pretty much every platform under the sun. We knew the game would be coming sometime in February, but as of today it’s now officially up for pre-order on the App Store with an official release date of February 6th.
If you’re on an iOS 11 device, then you can click on this link right here to be taken to the App Store where you’ll be able to pre-order Dandara for a price of $11.99. Interestingly that’s the same price it will cost on the Nintendo Switch and presumably desktop and consoles too, and it also appears that the game will be launching simultaneously across all platforms on February 6th too. Gotta love that cross-platform synergy! If you want a more in-depth look at Dandara ahead of its release, check out our preview of the game from GDC 2017 as well as an updated preview from PAX West 2017. This is a case of a game just continuing to look better the more we see of it, so I really can’t wait for Dandara to finally arrive on pretty much every platform in just a couple of weeks.
