Both Vlambeer and Halfbot have been teasing up a storm on Twitter about their upcoming iOS title, leaving those of us who are both Vlambeer and Halfbot fans anxiously awaiting what could be coming. Well, the curtain has been pulled away today to reveal Super Crate Box, a totally free Mac and PC game coming to the App Store. It’ll even support the iCade.
Check out the trailer:
If this is the first time you’ve heard of Super Crate Box, seriously, give it a download for your computer. The game itself has won tons of awards, and basically swept the free game category last year along with getting nominated for Excellence in Design in the Independent Games Festival. Pricing has yet to be announced, but if all goes as planned, Super Crate Box will be available sometime next month.
A game that no one has cared for in 20 years.
Wrong.

Also, on a serious note, you have no idea what you're talking about.
One of my all-time favorite games. I still play the original they released for iPhone a few years back. This looks like it could be fun, and at $2, it's worth giving it a shot.
If any game is begging for iCade support, it would be this one.
Spot on.
Does the iCade seem to fit best with portrait games? Because I sure would love a Raiden port.
I like me some Frogger, but really want to see devs like this put something a bit meatier on the system. Even if they charge a "premium." Castlevania? If Grokion (a Metroid clone) can work, so could a Metroidvania title :)
I honestly don't know what RC have up their sleeve for their next game, but they read posts here all the time! Hopefully they'll take all these great suggestions under consideration. Konami has an amazing back catalog of games! If anyone can do them justice, it's the team at Revolutionary Concepts!
where is PILOT84 KONAMI IS TIME TO BRING THIS MEGA CLASSIC TO IOS
I've also been beta testing this game, and the team at RC have done a really nice job with this game. The difficulty is definitely there, but RC give you unlimited lives, and reasonable checkpoints...and you'll quickly be glad they did that! It's not quite so easy. The graphics look great, and I find the swipe controls easy to get used to. I think fans will like what RC have done here.
Agree on iCade. This or is original is begging for it. I'd do it myself if I knew how.
i like frogger...20 years ago.
