A Peek at IUGO’s New Pinball Game

Mobile developer IUGO has just unveiled some details about their next iPhone project. IUGO has become one of our favorite iPhone developers with their original titles Toy Bot Diaries, Zombie Attack! and Shaky Summit [iTunes Links]. While you may not love every single one of their titles, they always seem to deliver a fresh take on their games. As a result, we’ve come to look forward to their new releases.

Their latest entry into the iPhone market will be a Pinball game, but certainly not an ordinary one. The description and table artwork (above) sound intriguing:

Endless hours of pinball entertainment spread across four unique, beautifully rendered playfields, including the Jungle and Cityscape themes. Over a half a dozen playfields in total, including boss battles!

You can play in three distinct gameplay modes: Score Attack is the classic pinball experience to get the highest score possible with your limited supply of orbs; Time Attack forces the player to get to a target score as quick as possible; and Adventure Challenge has the player collecting artifacts from three different themes with the help of game-changing powerups.

IUGO plans to submit the game for review “soon" but still hasn’t decided on a name. In fact they’ve started a poll here on TouchArcade to solicit reader opinions on what they should name their new creation. So, vote for your favorite!

So.....to any haters, THIS is why Touch Arcade covers Ngmoco. Thanks to Hand Circus and Ngmoco:) great job guys! As soon as R2 hits the App Store it'll be an instant d/l for me:D

.....after you beat the first world? Is this gonna reset my progress??? i really dont want to play thru again just for 5 levels

  4. arn

    @jc - it doesn't reset your progress.

I had to replay because I had deleted my copy of rolando and lost my progress.

Cool. Gives me a reason to play through the game again, seeing as I've restored since finishing it the first time :). I like the idea of adding levels; I had wondered how they could do it since the story was so complete as it was. Good on them.

Always loved how you unlock parts of the menu screen while playing too!

@Jc - You will not lose your progress if you update to 1.1

Great update. Crashed first time after the update because I had an isafe. Isafe was lost after 2nd boot :( but except that no problems.

really liked the game when it came out. fun and all.
deleted it about an hour ago.
even with the update its not enough to keep me interested.
the goals kept me busy for a while too but after that there was like no replay value.
unless Rolando 2 comes out with some awesome thing to keep replay i doubt i will be getting it.

Rolando was great but it became boring way too quick for me. I don't know if it is the fact that I'm not really into games anymore or if the game just doesn't have the depth that I want. Bottom line is that Rolando gets a little repetitive.

This Update is awesome, but I deleted Rolando, too so I had to play it from the beginning.
Hopefully there are some more Updates in the futur.

Rolando is one of the best Game on the iPhone.

Hopefully there's more King levels. I love those levels. So much in fact that if ngmoco ever decides to release another update, I hope it's nothing but King levels. Highlight of the entire game, IMHO.

To each their own. . . I don't really like the King levels.

This extra level update is a nice piece of added value. Haven't played Rolando since I finished everything on it a month or so ago. I'll probably play the new levels and then not play it again.

That said, I certainly don't regret buying it. It provided many hours of fun!
