Imangi that: Temple Run 2 (Free) launched hot on the App Store. But how hot? Get this — it hit over six million downloads within the first 24 hours of its existence and has grabbed 20 million downloads since its launch just last week. Chart-wise, it started sitting pretty as the number one “Top Free" app in under eight hours, and it’s currently one of the top three in “Top Grossing." It’s number three at the moment, to be specific.
When we asked Imangi’s Keith Shepard to describe what this amount of success feels like he used the word “overwhelming," which seems totally fair. He also noted that the studio is “thrilled" that fans want more Temple Run and the new game will see some new content down the line. We’re guessing people will be more than eager to update.
If you don’t know, Temple Run 2 is pretty rad. We’ve been playing it like whoa over here as we rush to unlock characters and see all that the game has to offer. Here’s a video of the game in action if you haven’t seen it yet:

Still waiting for retina iPad support...
Looks pretty damn good to me as is. I'll take content updates over facelifts in such type of game any given day. But hey, we are all different.
So looking forward to this! Yesterday I finished the last of the normal plagues on brutal. Today I did the neurax worm and now I don't have anything to do :(
It IS flu season in the real world... You could always get that and start spreading it around.
I love love LOVE their system for IAP. You wanna play the new virus, but don't wanna buy it? Better start honing your strategy for brutal mode challenges. You wanna play it, but don't want to muck around with brutal? Buy it. Everyone wins, and gets to play how they want to play. So good.
I beat the whole game on brutal twice, so I unlocked all the content without needing to purchase anything, but sometimes I wish I could buy the game all over again to voice my opinion with a dollar or three. :)
=O awesome! And i just checked the android store, i haven't updated my version So i still haven't played the Neurax Worm update... more for me to do :D
Freaking. Sick. Literally.
I wish there was a pc mood for this game.
Maybe for a sequel (or spin-off):
Biological warfare mode. Attempt to devastate an enemy nation while avoiding dangerous ramifications from the disease spreading to neutral countries, all while trying to control and contain the enemy's biological attack on your own country.
Yeah?
Yes. Just yes. I shall repost (and give you credit) on a lot of places. Genius.
i really dont wanna pop your buble buuut there already is a biowarfare mode
You're an idiot. Did you even read his suggestion? Clearly you're incapable of unlocking the current bio weapon mode.
Really glad this is coming. Insta-buy for me because I'm not nearly good enough to beat them all on brutal.
Yes yes yes
Best game evr! Didnt have skills or money to unlock neurax worm tho... :(
There's an easy strategy for brutal game modes, just don't upgrade many transmissions to avoid having too remove systems. Just stay covert till the whole world is infected, then with stockpiled points, upgrade lethal symptoms(Total organ failure). This strategy doesn't work for NanoVirus however.
I had never played this game before. My productivity level for the day is experiencing a rapid decline.
Here's a tip, if you want it. Purchase ONLY the transmissions air and water borne tier 2, sell all mutations as soon as they pop up. I ended up with 100% of the population infected before anyone noticed, and had 100+ evolution points. Paranoia, insomnia, insanity, anemia and organ failure. The entire world dissolved into anarchy before the cure was 10% complete. Everyone was dead within five months of the mutation (Though it took around 4 years to infect everyone :/)
Can't Wait!!!!
I want it on my pc. My boyfriend tried to find it but we didn't see anything. Is there anyway to play it on the pc?
Perhaps add an online mode where you vs. an opponent to see who successfully can mastermind the more successful sickness.(By kills, infectivity and collateral damage/severeness)
Another idea: a local and online multiplayer mode where one of you controls the pathogen, and the other is responsible for developing a cure. The gameplay for the pathogen controller would be the same, and the one responsible for the cure would choose where to use their resources and what to spend their money on? If anyone would like to build on this?
ncom? Thats such a xcom ripoff
Wow, amazing, just plain AMAZING!!!
