Square Enix has begun pre-registrations for the English release Dissidia Final Fantasy Opera Omnia. This is a spinoff mobile game of a spinoff of the mainline Final Fantasy franchise will be releasing soon on the App Store and Google Play in Western regions. Unlike the console Dissidia games, this isn’t an arena brawler fighting game but a free to play RPG with turn based combat. It will also feature multiplayer allowing you to team up with other people to challenge large foes. Watch the announcement trailer for it below:

Dissida Final Fantasy Opera Omnia will have Bravery system challenges adding more depth to special attacks. Square Enix has been releasing quite a few mobile titles over the last year itself. It remains to be seen how this one does. They’ve been supporting games like Brave Exvius quite a bit over time.

Pre-registrations are now open on Google Play and you earn a special prize of up to 5000 Gems. Dissidia Final Fantasy NT releases on PlayStation 4 at the end of the month and this release will no doubt happen in conjunction with that. Dissidia Final Fantasy Opera Omnia is set to release soon on iOS and Android outside Japan. Pre-register on Google Play here.

Glad to see this is coming West
I have put some time into the Japan version and it's not bad at all for a FTP game it will be interesting to see if there any differences

Yeah, I picked this up when I created a Japanese iTunes account in order to get Monster Hunter Stories. Dissidia OO is actually pretty fun! I love that it has turn-based combat with the same type of attacks. I've put quite a bit of time into it recently and will be happy to start again. But I've got some great gear. Hope the US version is as generous!

Sucks that i cant pre-register for iOS 🙁

After over 1 year and a half of mobius FF im starting to play much less to soend my stamina i wouldnt say no to a second FF on the go 🙂

You should check out Final Fantasy Record Keeper! That being said, I have been SUPER excited for a western release for DFFOO!

      • Milotorou

I dis play FFRK as well as Brave Exvius... i played FFRK for about 50 hours and got tired of it, never really got into Brave Exvius

I open Mobius every day, and will occasionally play through special events. I've almost beat the story, but it does get a little tiring. Plus I get the cards/jobs I want about 10% of the time. If I hadn't gotten the Thief of Tantalus recently, I may have quit it altogether. But, since they've brought down the cost of Gift boxes every month, I've been able to do a little more. Plus I've got like 1400 extra stamina. I do love that they don't cap it in Mobius, unlike FFBE and FFRK.

      • Milotorou

Im very active in Mobius to be honest lol... i try to farm the monthly 20 000 magicite we can farm... i get there most of the time by the 25th of the month 😅

      • Tychaeus

Good lord thats some energy put into, dedication there. Cuz....fffff that

      • Milotorou

Most of my time playing Mobius is at work... thanks to my office job alliwing me to auto-farm stuff all day long.

Since multiplayer require no stamina and that im built to clear everything alone, I can farm all day long with no focus

So for the rpg part closer to the original psp games(remember those?),still the fighting game part made it different from other rpg on PSP,well maybe we will see the old board again and the mogs letters(always full of nods, questions and fun to read)

  • Lanster27

New Final Fantasy game on mobile - Oooh yeah!
But it will be F2P social RPG - ... skip.

    • Milotorou

As far as social rpgs go I find square to be much nicer than the norm in regards to content.

With a name like "Opera Omnia", I was piqued to read of a Theatrhythm-kind, but ehhh. (Not that TFF was done any favours on mobile.)
