Colorful Android Platformer ‘Pauli’s Adventure Island’ Heading to iOS Next Week

Folks on Android devices have been able to enjoy Dutch developer HEJVISJ’s colorful platformer Pauli’s Adventure Island for over a year now, but next week us iOS folks (and Windows 10 people!) will be able to get in on that action as well. Pauli’s Adventure Island has you playing as cute little floppy-eared bunnies Pauli and Gemmi as they try to eradicate a mechanical menace that’s invaded their world. As you can see in the trailer there’s plenty of inspiration from classics like Super Mario Bros. with enemies you can bop and then send their “shell" flying into other enemies, and boss fights that are reminiscent of Sonic The Hedgehog games. Check it out.

All said, Pauli’s Adventure Island will have more than 30 levels across 4 different worlds and plenty of collectibles like stars and clovers to give you additional goals beyond just completing a level. It’ll be free with ads and a one-time $1.99 IAP to remove them, except on Windows 10 where it will simply be $1.99 up front. It’s scheduled to hit the App Store next Tuesday, July 18th and at that same time a big update will hit for the existing Android version with the extra sound effects, enhanced graphics, and extended storyline of the multi-platform version. I’m always on the hunt for new platformers and Pauli’s Adventure Island looks like a very cute, family friendly one, so keep an eye out for it next week.
