While our pals at Halfbrick have been celebrating the 5th anniversary of Fruit Ninja (Free) and releasing all sorts of updates across their entire catalog, it feels like it’s been a while since we’ve seen a brand new game from them. Well, that’s getting ready to change as the Aussie developer has unveiled its latest project called Star Skater. Star Skater is a 3rd-person downhill racing game, and in Halfbrick’s own words, “crashing is half the fun." You can check out an ultra-brief glimpse of Star Skater in the following trailer.
Star Skater will feature 40 levels of “Time-based challenges with a heavy focus on speed, tricks, and risk-taking." You’ll be able to customize your board and, as is the trend right now, there’ll be a host of unlockable characters. If you’re on Android, you can check out Star Skater in its soft-launch in the New Zealand, Australia or Canadian App Stores. Otherwise look for its global launch sometime soon, and when we have more of an idea when that will be we’ll certainly let you know.
