Dual-Stick Shooter ‘Trigonarium’ Gets MFi Controller Support and New Modes

TouchArcade Rating:

One of my favorite dual-stick shooters, at least before Geometry Wars 3 ($9.99) came out, has been Trigonarium ($0.99). And really, the game still holds up pretty well on its own merits. And the game has been updated with some new stuff, including one vital feature: MFi controller support. Yes, you can now play this dual-stick shooter with a dual-stick gamepad, as the giant geometric gods intended. It just feels right. And if you have 2 controllers? Then you can play co-op mode with the 2 of them. Brilliant!

Along with the controller support comes a pair of new challenge modes, with Classic and Super. Classic feels like an homage to Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved with its large square grid, illuminating grid beneath your ship, and the enemy patterns and behaviors. Super mode throws as much Trigonarium-brand madness at you as it possibly can, with shifting levels and new enemies. Both are welcome additions to a darn-fine dual-stick shooter.
