Big news today, as it turns out the sun still rises in the east. In related news, a Peter Molyneux game has overpromised and underdelivered. The latest is Godus (Free), the Kickstarter-funded god game from Peter Molyneux and his 22Cans team. Some of the promises of the Kickstarter have yet to be fullfilled, like the multiplayer mode. Some staff that worked on Godus have left entirely, others have moved on to their next game, The Trial. Molyneux and a pair of 2Cans staffers discussed some of the concerns in a video posted yesterday:
While I’ll give Molyneux some credit for addressing things head-on, it has to be said that there’s a reason why he has his reputation. It’s a joke at this point for him to promise something big and then under-deliver, and anyone who was foolish enough to give money to a man who has a long-standing reputation for being unable to scope projects garners zero sympathy for me. So while 22Cans says development on the game is continuing, if you’re a fan expecting much more, I’d probably move on at some point.

It looks like it could it could be fun if I'm getting a cup of coffee and just need a new puzzler. But knowing they could have ported a full game of theirs instead leaves me just wanting that. Maybe I'll check out Shantae.
I just finished playing through this. It's dull, tedious, and uninspired. After the 25 levels, I just wanted to stop. Especially the last 5 which have the tiles hidden unless water is actively touching them.
