‘Marvel Pinball’ Goes Free to Celebrate the Arrival of the “Guardians of the Galaxy” Table

TouchArcade Rating:

During Comic-Con this past weekend, Marvel announced that both Marvel Pinball ($0.99) and Zen Pinball (Free) would be getting a new Guardians of the Galaxy table to coincide with the movie releasing tomorrow. Earlier today, an update went live which added that new Guardians of the Galaxy table to both games, and to celebrate the Marvel Pinball app is now free for the first time ever. Here’s a video of the new Guardians of the Galaxy table in action.

Like all of the licensed IP tables in Marvel Pinball and Zen Pinball, the Guardians of the Galaxy table will run you $1.99 to download. If you like Zen Studio’s brand of over-the-top, fantasy pinball tables, and you like Guardians of the Galaxy, I’m fairly certain you’ll enjoy this new table as well. Also, if you don’t already own Zen Pinball and you’re only interested in the Marvel tables, then definitely snag Marvel Pinball while it’s free, as the free download comes with The Avengers table installed.

    3. Tonk Montana

Mosaic: A lights-out Game also came out yesterday. It is free! There is already a forum post for it (thanks PeteOzzy). Please add it to the releases for this week and check it out. ;)

My OCD wishes they had released the Dragon Quests in order!

      1. monetarydread

They are.... Kinda. About four or five years ago Enix remade Dragon quest 4,5, and 6 for the DS. There are New graphics, sound, and translation, etc.

Anyways, as far as releasing games in order, dq 4-6 are kind of a trilogy of loosely interconnected stories.

    5. Tonk Montana

      Here's the link for Mosaic:A lights-out game:

My abstract strategy board game Catchup also releases tonight. Here's the forum link (with more info): http://forums.toucharcade.c...

Can't follow the link on mobile. I hope this is the game that used to be called ketchup, designed because he wanted to see how ugly he could make a game. It's hard for me to table 2p abstracts irl and I've been wanting to try it. Though I think I played it on boardspace some?

        1. Martin

That is the same game, although I'm not sure I've heard the story about it being an ugly game. (To my mind, it's quite elegant, and dare-I-say-it, beautiful.) I have been working closely with the designer, Nick Bentley.

bets on the adventure time game's timer and dual currency likelihood?

      1. maikelg

In Sanuku's video I don't see a store or any currency at all, just a character gallery you unlock.

    10. GreedPhantom

Dragon Quest is certainly the game of the week. RPG at his perfection.

    11. Jesse_Dylan

      Dragon Quest!!!

    12. nadav bar kama

      1. CrispyCreamed

It's already out. Came out last week I believe

        1. maikelg

Yes, it got released early by mistake and then pulled right away. In the thread the devs say it will come out tonight.

    14. pkMinhas

Hard to get noticed these days :(
Assault Vector is also releasing in a couple of hours. Check it out if u are a TBS fan.

    19. Daniel Brown

    20. mrmoobz

    21. MeanDinosaur

    22. Speedster117

      Okay seriously where is Seabeard?

      1. caaalrb

      1. Jake7905

    24. Taeles

-gasp!- dragonquest 4, with a shiney graphics upgrade! -fingers crossed for pt 2 and 3 to follow!- 2 and 3 never hit the states when this was on nes.

    25. Luciano1084

      :(

    26. Inaba-kun

Looks like Dragon Quest portrait mode only again. What a wasted opportunity, and just so commuters in japan can play with one hand. A poor effort.

    27. paulkane

      Dante's Fall & 99 Challenges!

    28. DLAROC

I thought Bioshock was coming this week? Oh well. Maybe next week.

    29. MediocreOrange

it would be good next time if you could provide screenshots for each of those game

    30. Jak Constantine

      Dargon Quest IV. LOL

    31. SubZeroBR

ABSOLUTELY getting Dragon Quest IV. I'll get also V and VI, hopefully they will be out fast c'mon Squeenix, I'm anxious. They can't be defined by anything other than 'masterpieces' at their own time and definitely have awesome stories, huge content and gameplay till this day, paving the road for many later games that (sadly) offer it on a smaller scale, like Zenonia series, most if not all of Kemco games, and countless indies that followed. Enix (now Square-Enix) had a big influence on rpg's in the 90's. Hopefully they will release a remastered DQ7 as well.

    32. melocoman

      I'm strangely excited for 20Q

    33. Durduhdur

Why does it bug me that it's titled "new iPhone games" instead of new iOS games like it used to be....anyways, stoked for dragon quest and adventure time.

    34. fburbach

Where is Jacob Jones ep 2? Can't wait any more!

    35. Morgan01

Forum comments of DQIV having issues on iPad is disheartening...

      1. Shaun Musgrave

You mean of Worldcitizen not being to find the talk button in the middle of the screen, or his disdain for the 32-bit graphics? Both were kind of disheartening.

        1. Morgan01

Yeah, a little confusing. Graphics don't really seem to be an issue, and in-game talking seems like operator error. Hoping for good feedback for iPad.

          1. Morgan01

Bought DQIV for my iPad, works great, no issues.

      Where's Tiny Tower Vegas? :(
