At this time last month, True Skate [$1.99] had just received an update adding in a course from the 2013 Street League Skateboarding stop in Kansas City and dropped its price to free to celebrate the Street League event occurring that weekend in Chicago. Well, Street League is heading to LA this weekend for the second stop on their 2014 tour, and that means that today we have another new park and another price drop for True Skate. The new park is based on the 2013 Street League Portland course, and here's a couple of screens to give you an idea of what it looks like.

The Portland course, much like the Kansas City course from last month, feels a bit sparse in comparison to some of the excellent original levels True Axis has created for True Skate since its release. However, it's especially fun playing in a real-life location that I recognize from watching on TV, and both Portland and Kansas City are tailor made for the "Realistic" mode that was added to the game back in May. Like other DLC courses in True Skate, SLS Portland 2013 will run you 99¢ to purchase, but like last month, the initial download of the game will be free through the weekend, so grab it if you haven't already. The actual Street League LA competition takes place on Sunday at 8pm EST, you can find out what channel it's on in your area over at the official website.

No mention of Spin Cam? That's by far the biggest update I've seen in a minute. It just opened up a whole new world of trick possibilities. Hello frontside flips, 180s, 360s, hurricanes, barley grinds, bennett grinds, and about a million tricks that simply weren't possible up until last night.

Whoa whoa whoa, spin cam? I've seen them talking about it in the forums but I didn't even know that was in this update. Wasn't in the update notes or anything. *fires up True Skate to check it out*

Yeah, it's weird that it wasn't even mentioned in the notes. It's buried in the Options menu under Crash Cam. I spent an hour messing with it late last night and made a quick little video showing off some stuff. It's up on my channel (Smokie Bowls). It's pretty hard using three fingers to rotate your body while flipping your board, but it's pretty awesome. Fakie tricks, legitimate-looking switch tricks, etc. Lovin' it.

Yeah, we are just testing out spin cam in this update, the feature is still quite underdeveloped, and we are a bit worried about people getting dizzy by over using it, but it can be a lot of fun.

So far I think it's great, haven't been overusing it but no motion sickness at all yet. Only issue I've come across is the button seems to also act like a brake, so have to press it when already in the air.

Interesting point, I never noticed that my self, but with out even taking the time to test it, I suspect you are right and that we probably need to disable the touch brake while you are pressing the spin can buttons. (Or probably any other button for that matter)

Start working at home with Google! It's by-far the best job I've had. Last Wednesday I got a brand new BMW since getting a check for $6474 this - 4 weeks past. I began this 8-months ago and immediately was bringing home at least $77 per hour. I work through this link, go to tech tab for work detail
