It was back in the middle of 2013 that we first heard about Microsoft’s plan to bring the Age of Empires Franchise to iOS. We originally thought it would be a port of the free to play Age of Empires Online but instead they’re creating an entirely new game in the series. Called Age of Empires: World Domination and developed by KLabs Games, it features known world leaders and historical characters. It’s unclear whether this is a true RTS or a Clash of Clans-like strategy game. Make up your own opinion with this trailer that showcases a few seconds of gameplay:
Age of Empires: World Domination should be out this summer on iOS, Android and Windows Phone.

Ok, now I shall buy an iPad mini. Yes. For this.
Lacking in patience ,are we?
I have a mini and an iPad Air, and recommend the Air if this was a driving reason to get one. It makes a difference. The mini form factor is superior, but the Air is just so sweet. Just my opinion :)
Really? I have been waiting forever unable to decide (and waited for the mini to go retina, but still didn't decide...)
The retina on the mini helps things seem bigger, but the Air is only slightly heavier and the screen is gorgeous, especially for hearthstone
I will think it over! The other problem is I wish it had a pressure sensitive screen for drawing- but I don't want to leave Apple because I want my (many) universal games to port over. </first>. Thanks for your input!
Wacom made a pressure sensitive pen for drawing on touch screens. Where the sensitivity is translated through the pen instead of the screen. You just need to use apps compatible with it, most of the important ones are I think, sketchbook & bamboo, maybe procreate too... Just check their update history. Hope this helps.
Been waiting for this one!
iPad only is getting old. Surgeon Simulator, FTL... Now this. I mean I can play them all on my PC so it's not that big of a deal I suppose.
Thus commenting inside a release post will make it happen?? ROFL!!
...so funny.
I do agree that since I have FTL and Surgeon Sim on PC I have no desire to get an additional portable version. But I am also not into paying for a game that is $10 on PC when it was $1.99 on iPhone. So everyone will always be upset or left out of something somewhere.
Yes, iPad only - except for the other platform you just mentioned. ???
I think he is meaning he wants an iPhone version, which for a game like this makes no sense. I don't even get how that version will work
Oh, if that's what he means then I'm with you, I don't get it either. Hearthstone and FTL would both be nearly unplayable. Things shouldn't be forced onto platforms they're unsuited for.
They said Bastion and KOTOR would be unplayable on iPhone too. They turned out fine. I know the "I want this for my iPhone" complaint is frowned upon in these parts but I couldn't help myself with this one. Haha
I have a very difficult time believing KOTOR is any fun at all to play on iPhone, but I haven't tried it so I'll take your word for it.
I am waiting for an ipod touch version of the game!
And OF COURSE this finally releases the day before a big exam.
Oh well, I'm sure Hearthstone will teach me economics somehow.
Been enjoying the Canadian version of the app, which upon launching yells out "SORRY!". I hope that's the only difference.
Love this game, especially on an LTE iPad Air. Playing on the crapper at work is awesome. Don't judge me. :P
I am imagining the sound of killing Jaraxxus coming from a toilet stall..
I think this trend of trolling Canadians for being too polite is the only form of trolling I can get behind. Makes me laugh every time. Sorry!
I'm glad this is coming out for the iPhone. I only have Hearthstone for PC, and I'm addicted!
I might actually buy a cheap android tablet just to play this on the go XD
Why do they always release first for iPad? Do they get a kickback? Recent stats suggest android is taking over.
When will it be available for android ?
