The game releases just don’t stop, and Sega’s Demon Tribe (Free) is another title we were anticipating but weren’t expecting to just randomly appear around 4:00 AM this morning. We did a TA Plays First Look of the game yesterday, and really like what we see. There’s definitely a lot of potential for something cool here-

Something to keep in mind with Demon Tribe is that (presumably to stay under the cellular download limit) is before you can actually play you’ve got to wait for a very sizable download on your first launch. I’ve got a pretty fast internet connection at home, and it still took me close to ten minutes for the game to download all of its assets. I can’t imagine doing that via cellular.

Oh, and since it is an online game, it requires a persistent internet connection… So once you download all those assets, stick around on your WiFi if you want to play. I expect our forums to get pretty lively over the game today, as there has been a lot of excitement building over its Japanese soft launch.
