In case the banner image and headline weren't a giveaway, 2K Games is throwing a sale on some of their biggest titles in celebration of Halloween. A "spooky" sale. The excellent iOS port of XCOM was half-off earlier this month, but in case you missed it, it's back on sale for $9.99 so that's one you're going to want to jump on. Also NBA 2K14, which just launched at the end of September, is on sale for the first time ever. The full list is below, and I'd imagine we'll be seeing plenty more sales today and throughout the weekend due to Halloween, so keep an eye out.

Snagged x-com! Hope there will be future support for additional content one way or another.

The game is insane. I payed the $20 the day it came out and don't regret it for a second.

      • Jake7905

Completely agree, in fact I've gotten much more then $20 worth of entertainment. And the replay value is through the roof.

Hmm might be time to snag that racing game. I've been looking for one to download. The rating on it is horrible though. But maybe it's worth 1.99. At 6.99 I wasn't even thinking about it. Hmmm xcom looks interesting. It's bloody massive. Would I actually play it though? Hmmmm

I grabbed xcom during the last sale...played a few missions then stopped. Its kinda too much pressure, I think I've become too used to casual games.

      • icepulse

How is a turn-based strat title "too much pressure"? LOL.

      • Nicholas Yu

Have you played Ironman on Classic? Each turn is nerve-wracking.

  • nonstickron

    LIMBO on sale for .99

  • Taclys

Has 2k drive been updated enough to be playable? When it launched, I heard the controls were awful

  • Jake7905

C'mon TA, there are a ton of good sales today besides 2K's stuff. To name a few: Limbo, Broken Sword, Final Fantasy IV, Deus Ex, Indigo Lake, King Cashing 2, Breach & Clear, as well as a bunch more....

    • Lagoonside

Breach and Clear is free for the month over at ign. Check it out.

  • ODMay

I been waiting since October 1st for 2k to update that NBA2k14 app. I only played it like 4 times.

    • Jake7905

Is it worth buying for 3 bucks? I've been having problems with 2K13 since I updated to IOS 7.

  • JJE McManus

Civ Revolution for a buck is a great get. Just the thing for long trips. I just wish they would update it more often.

  • MonkeyChunks

Generally good games, but I'd say even $9.99 is too much for x-com given how much it costs on Steam for PC or in online stores for console.
Civ Revolution is a very good deal if you don't mind this version. I think it lacks depth of other civ games.
Sid Meyer's Pirates is probably the best game for the touch screen especially given how they modified the mini games to play on mobile devices.

  • Earth Vs. Me

Too bad Borderlands Legends isn't part of the sale.
