Crescent Moon Games's upcoming PC and iPhone game Mines of Mars looks like a sci-fi take on Terraria, but the focus and premise are maybe going to be the most interesting things about it. Mines of Mars takes place on a once-inhabited Mars, and it seems like it'll be tasking users with discovering why no-one knew this little fact until they got there. As you play, you'll discover buried alien tech and "dark secrets" that play into an actual, designed narrative.

On top of this, Mines of Mars promises the usual stuff: a procedurally generated world, a night and day system, loads of weapons and items, bosses, and a co-op mode. We've got the first footage of the game in-action just below:

No word on release just yet, so we'll check in on that. Oh! And if you'd like to play this one on Steam instead for whatever reason, you can vote for it on Greenlight right now.

They got spaceships, jet packs and antigravity boots. Um. No better tech then a pick axe? Haha. Still looks sweet. Watch listed. I hope it's not freemium model as well. Ill buy this instantly

I believe the Mars question was answered by one Arnold Schwarzenegger in Total Recall.

I wish terraria would come for iOS devices. It can work well with touch controls.

It is. Was shown at E3 this year.

  • Glamrod

Agreed with the terraria comment! Puzzle craft and junk jack are amazing but the lack of multiplayer really takes away from the fun imo. Excited for this ^_^

  • Timobrow

This actually looks really freaking cool.

Really can't wait to buy this game! It looks awesome, the gameplay seem to be more suited to me compared to junk jack x & terraria, although I still enjoy playing these two... But this! Wow! This is just what I've been waiting for !? Can't wait !!!!
