It’s Wednesday again, and by the looks of this week, it’s obvious most developers were simply avoiding last week as there’s a lot coming out tonight. Anyway, let’s get down to business. Everything here should be available by 11:00 PM Eastern tonight.
BattleFriends at Sea, Free – Forum Thread – If you’re just dying to play turn-based Words With Friends-style Battleship, here you go.
The Bowling Dead, Free – Forum Thread – I’m not sure if this game release is a prank or what but here we have Activision, a company with nearly limitless resources, and what do they release on the App Store? A zombie bowling game, of course. Note: this is only available in NZ.
Cave Diver, 99¢ – Forum Thread – We’ve flown through caves in the numerous cave flyers on the App Store, so why not swim through some?
Crazytarium, 99¢ – Forum Thread – A puzzle game that revolves around taking pills. Seems reasonable.
Flashout 3D, $1.99 – Forum Thread – A neat looking Wipeout-like that has loads of nifty features including but not limited to TV out, iCloud save syncing, and tons more.
Freeze!, Free – Forum Thread – I always dig these black and white games, and this puzzler involves spinning your phone around to solve the 25 included (and 10 bonus) levels.
Ghost Racer, 99¢ – Forum Thread – At first glance, this is just another top-down racer. BUT, it’s from the creators of Mos Speedrun ($0.99) which has it at the top of my must-download list tonight.
Gunner Runner, Free – Forum Thread – A game that quite literally takes the behind the back runner and completely turns it around.
The Impossible Test 2!, Free – Forum Thread – The original Impossible Test was really, really popular. I have no doubts the sequel will be too. If you want to feel really dumb failing at very simple tasks, get this.
Jelly All Stars, 99¢ – Forum Thread – This game wins the vague iTunes text description for the week, as it’s a puzzle game that’s easy to play but difficult to master.
Jet Set Radio, $4.99 – Forum Thread – The SEGA classic Jet Set Radio as a universal iOS app? This is awesome.
Lead Me Home, $1.99 – Forum Thread – An incredibly colorful game centralized around slime. The description is a little vague, but it sounds like it might be Lemmings-like?
Matchblocks, 99¢ – Forum Thread – A action puzzle matching game from the developers of Commander Pixman ($3.99), a surprisingly popular platformer amongst our community.
Sky Hero, 99¢ – Forum Thread – This endless faller polls your location and displays weather in game that represents the weather in your location. THIS IS THE FUTURE.
Street Fighter X Tekken Gauntlet, Free – Forum Thread – If you need a little extra push over the edge to download the full version of Street Fighter X Tekken ($2.99), this could be it.
Team Awesome, 99¢ – Forum Thread – The Edis Brothers are awesome dudes who make awesome games, and Team Awesome, as the title would indicate, should be in line with that. If nothing else, you can battle giant bosses in toilets.
Towers & Dungeons, Free – Forum Thread – A Tiny Tower-like that allows you to build both up and down.
Word Derby, 99¢ – Forum Thread – A word game in the style of those carnival horse racing games that I always fail to win the massive sawdust-stuffed animal at.
Writer Rumble, 99¢ – Forum Thread – I feel like this game has been in development for an eternity. Either way, if you like clever word games, this one is one to get.
Vectrex, Free – Forum Thread – Another awesomely retro iOS emulator enters the fray.
Zen Shapes: The Way of the Brush, 99¢ – Forum Thread – A game of calligraphy puzzles. 60 levels are included as well as a zen mode, story mode, and all sorts of power ups.
