Coming Tonight: ‘Flip’s Escape’, ‘Jack Lumber,’ ‘Mad Skills BMX’, ‘Puzzle Craft’, ‘Random Heroes’, and Maybe ‘Horn’

Hey it’s Wednesday again! I think that means there’s a new episode of Survivor on, but I’d need to double check with my parents on that as I’m fairly certain they’re the only ones still watching that show. For iOS gamers, that means a whole mess of new games to download. This week is a little light, but there’s some good games in there. As usual, all of these games should be available at 11:00 PM Eastern, or way earlier if you’re somewhere east of the Atlantic.

Critter Escape, 99¢Forum Thread – A universal stealth puzzler set in some sort of lab environment where you play a creature trying to escape. 120 levels are included, and “hilarious animations" have been promised.

Disney’s Fish Hooks, FreeForum Thread – A underwater physics game starring Milo and his friends from Freshwater High. 50 levels are included, and making you feel old and out of touch as you have no idea who Milo or his friends are comes free of charge.

Flip’s Escape, 99¢Forum Thread – We loved (and continue to love) The Last Rocket ($1.99), and this isn’t as much of a sequel as it is just a fun endless minigame that takes place in the game’s universe. Watch the video to see what it’s all about.

Jack Lumber, 99¢Forum Thread – We’ve seen this line-drawing-tree-chopping game a few times in its development cycle, and I suppose it makes sense why the developers went dark a while ago: Turns out it’s being published by Sega. It’s by the guys who made Smuggle Truck (Free) so you know you’re in for a good time.

Horn, $6.99Forum Thread – It’s anyone’s guess as to whether or not this game is coming out tonight, as its release date is apparently a secret. I’m not sure what sense that makes, but, I suppose if it shows up tonight it shows up tonight. If not, keep an eye out for the next two weeks as they hit their “August" release window.

Mad Skills BMX, 99¢Forum Thread – Watch the trailer. No, seriously. Watch it. Did you watch it yet? Anyway, this is a physics-packed racer from the guys who made Mad Skills Motorcross ($0.99), another fabulous sidescrolling racer. I’m expecting big things.

Meeblings, FreeForum Thread – I bet if you paged around your iPhone the one thing you’re really lacking is physics games, so, fill that hole with this one! It’s from the brains behind Bloons ($0.99) which was strangely popular for reasons I’m not sure I’ll ever fully understand.

Puzzle Craft, 99¢Forum Thread – A match three puzzler where the things you’re matching actually somehow tie into an overall greater goal and maybe even experience bars to fill up? Uh oh, someone has told Chillingo my weakness.

Random Heroes, 99¢Forum Thread – From the makers of the League of Evil ($2.99) games comes this action platformer. Normally I’d be worried about the controls, but this is Ravenous Games we’re talking about here- They’ve got them down.

Tread of the Dead, 99¢Forum Thread – A “tilt based survival game" starring what appears to be loads of zombies. 100 levels in all are included, and there’s even mention of boss fights along with a host of unlockables to work towards.
