I'm not sure exactly what the occasion is for this many great freebies available at one time, but, hey, whatever. Here are sixteen games that are all free for a limited time. Because of the potentially volatile nature of pricing on the App Store, you're probably better off just going down this list and mashing the download button instead of waiting for later in case they go back to being paid:

  • Baby Monkey (going backwards on a pig) [$0.99]
  • Commander Cool [Free]
  • Dawn of the Dead™ [Free]
  • Deadlock: Online [Free]
  • Final Freeway [$0.99]
  • Ion Racer [Free]
  • Jaws™ [Free]
  • Majesty: The Fantasy Kingdom Sim [$1.99]
  • Reflexions [$0.99]
  • Rinth Island [Free]
  • Scarface™ [Free]
  • Time Ducks [$0.99]
  • Towers N' Trolls HD [Free]
  • ZDAY Survival Simulator HD [Free (HD)]
  • Zombie Caves [Free]
  • ZombieRunnerZ [$0.99]

Don't miss Time Ducks and Final Freeway, which are my two favorite games from the list. Heck, don't miss any of them. Be sure you grab The 7th Guest too.

Deadlock is great if you like oldschool isometric action games. The online matches are a lot of fun.

1st of may is a major holiday in europe, mainly eastern

  • Adams Immersive

Will Deadlock let you set up a 1v1 with a specific Game Center friend? I’d prefer that to random matches.

  • Gagapokerface

Towers N' Trolls HD looks very pretty from the screenshots. Worth giving it a try if for no other reason than to check out the retina graphics I suppose. Freebies are great.

    • Adams Immersive

I’m liking it so far. You can place towers while paused, which gives it a more relaxing style of TD play than some.

    May Day, fool! Recognize!

Its hard to tell the difference if a game that has gone free is actually, genuinely worth it or if its because they know they will still make money off IAP. I miss just straight up games.

In my mind, its pretty despicable of Mongadillo Studios to release a new 'HD' version of ZDAY for the iPad 3.

I missed the sale. so now an app I bought as universal, ceases to function for my new hardware. And rather than update, they release a new version which costs me £1.49. Course i could go back to my old hardware and continue to play...

I would love to know the reasons why their app doesn't support NEWER hardware. Unless you pay for a new one of course.

It is actually still on sale (at least it currently is on the US store). They changed the app description but there was an explanation up till yesterday.
I quote: QUESTION: "Why are there two versions of ZDAY, but only the HD version
works on iPad 3? Why can't you just make one version do all of it?
Because we wanted to be able to accommodate all the people who still
have older devices like iPhone 3 and iPod 2G, that are still using iOS
4.2. We cannot create a version that will support both. We understand
that people who have already purchased the older ZDAY Survival Simulator
will feel cheated out of the HD version on their iPad 3, so we will be
making a very well advertised "FREE DAY" for ZDAY on May 1st 2012. For
24 hours, you can get ZDAY HD for FREE. After that, we just have to
      keep on fighting."
      So there you have it.

When I read Deadlock Online my heart jumped for a moment thinking it was an online version of the old PC game Deadlock: Planetary Conquest by Accolade.

    Boy was I disappointed
