Konami's Pro Evolution Soccer 2010 has finally made its way to the U.S. The game was originally launched internationally back on June 14th.

The game has received favorable feedback on our forums and in a surprise move the U.S. version is priced only at $1.99. In contrast the U.K. version remains at £5.99.

Here's the official trailer:

We're not sure if the $1.99 is a temporary sale or not, but it's a great time to pick this one up if you're in the U.S.

I have real football 10 and FIFA 10

This game is atrocious! Have you stopped looking out for your readers?

Have you even played the game?

This has to be a joke, are they refunding the money?

    • Sticktron

      Nobody listen to this fool.
PES is by far the best soccer game on the iPhone, and at $2 you'd be crazy not to snap it up.
      There is really no comparison.

Ah, good... I have a US account with some money and I'll download it now.

But... shame on Konami for the different pricing.
For what I've read so far (reviews and general comments), the game is not even worth $1,99 if compared to other titles.

But again, I see the fact $1,99 for a full videogame is a very cheap price.

Good because for 10$ nobody would buy it. This is the worst football game I've ever seen. It's even worst then FIFA worldcup !!

I've been playing all those football games and found them not as deep as this one (PES 2010). This game is, in my opinion, the most realistic football game ever for an iphone; exactly what I was looking for...

I highly recommend to buy this game. I've paid almost ten times this price for this game (in europe) and worths it ...

In a few years there will be just one important football game for the iphone ... this one. It just needs some upgradings to become as good as the console game.

    It's not an arcade game...

    • munkee

yeah, it indeed has the best gameplay and AI compared to other football games on iPhone (I have fifa, real football and X2). All who play football in real life easily know this.

The graphics and animation are the best too!

    extremely SLOW on a 3G.
    I can't play with it.

That's what I have to say.

    • munkee

Try using 'near' camera and disabling sound.

Accelerometer controls and airplane mode also help the framerate a lot.

Play with your balls instead then

Nice! Reminds me of the Wii version and has that classic PES/Winning Eleven feel. Runs fine on a 3rd-gen iTouch. Konami's football/soccer games have always been about realistic and deep gameplay, not graphics.

You either love or hate it. I personally love it. I would wait for a lite version if your on the fence though.

I like it way better than FIFA or RS. It's easier to make the players do what you want to do. I don't understand the hate from some people. Oh maybe because theyre still stuck with the sluggish old iPhone 3G lol.

    • Limousine Lemon

sorry if I'm that poor and not able to buy a new iPhone every year, mr Hilton.

He's Christian Bale dude. It's all that Dark Knight money.

I just bought this yesterday. You definitely get more bang for your 2 bucks and am pleased with my purchase. I was surprised that they opened in the US with such a low price point for a game of great production value. I have FIFA, RS and now this one. Of the three, in my brief amount of playing time, the graphics are the most realistic. There are some nuanced movements that kick the animation up a notch. I can't speak so much for game play as I'm not that big of a soccer fan with only recent interest due to the World Cup and the rush of these sales, but so far so good from what I've been seeing.

Btw, on PS3 I play PES series almost exclusively.

So if you go for the innovative controls - don't bother!

In every other respect - FIFA offers more depth, real teams, and more realistic physics. (also more competitions)

    • Sticktron

There is no question that PES has the most realistic physics, animations, and AI. The players are real. For all the teams Konami are allowed to license the jerseys are real, have proper logos. There is season mode, and 19 cups to play for. Stop spreading BS.

    • Christian Bale

I really don't know what you are talking about. On PES the players are far more detailed. Animations are way better too. FIFA is great on consoles no doubt, I actually prefer it over PES but on the iPhone, EA will need to step up because it's a really crappy experience. FIFA on the iPhone is frustrating to be honest.

I'm no soccer fan but purchased this game due to it's price of 1.99. This game is amazing on my iphone4. I'm sure many are frustrated with the newer games on the 3G or below iPods. iOs4 made my 3G phone crawl. Pick this up because it's only 2 bucks. I may feel different if the game was 10.

Konami needs to offer their games on more countries.. right know It's almost as if they didn't want to make that much money from their games.. frustrating.

    • http://heiseheise.com Zach

Just like Apple not bringing out the iPhones in every country in the world at once, as always there's issues with localization for each country. And then much larger than that there's the governments of each country wanting to make sure they get their cut of Apple's revenue in taxes.

I'm sure if Apple and Konami et al could, every product would be released everywhere at once. :)

Best soccer game I've tried and I've played them all. It could use some more features and the lack of international names is a little annoying, but it's infinitely better than EA's efforts on the iphone.

the AI engine is certainly good and it keep me playing this game. but there are many things that need sorting out. what atrocious is that Konami is developing the next game instead of providing value for the money paid for this one...

    1. Headers are either not executed at all - the player controls the ball and then passes - or simply fall off a few yards away. Attacking headers are even more pathetic.
    2. one touch passing from the ground or air happens 25% of the time, the other times the flow of the game is interrupted by the player controlling the ball before releasing it.
    3. team selection IS NEVER SAVED. it's no saved between sessions, what's worse it's not even saved between games! you need to reconfigure the team every god damn time - are they serious?
    4. yellow and red card do not carry over - no comment.
    5. I don't care that the kits are not licensed, but can't they at least get the solid colors right? If it's too much to ask, they we should at least be able to pick a color ourselves. instead, we have to pick between a color that's wrong and one that is even more wrong.

There are several other issues. no point of listing them since several fanboys here don't seem to care that the developer picks up the cash and leave customers out to dry while working on the next bug-ridden cash-cow.
