Meridian has submitted their latest game for approval in the App Store. Alive 4-Ever is a dual-stick zombie shooter but the developers claim it's "definitely more than a shooting game". And based on the description and video, it seems that's clearly the case.
Alive 4-Ever is a zombie shooter in which players have a selection of 4 different characters coming from different backgrounds, trying to rescue hopeless survivors from a small town that was attacked by a deadly virus which turns dead people into zombies. Sounds pretty familiar, but there's more.
Besides the shooting component, Alive 4-ever has added other different elements like rescuing survivors and searching for vaccines, which highly increased the longevity of the game.

The game also offers bluetooth multiplayer allowing up to 4 person cooperative play. 30 missions are offered that includes goals such as eliminating a given amount of zombies, rescuing survivors in a given time frame, getting vaccines, defeating the big boss. There are 16 weapons in all that can be purchased throughout the game, and player experience points accrued can be used to upgrade basic player stats.
Meridian has provided us with this exclusive gameplay video which shows off boss fights, rescuing survivors and more:

While survival shooters have been a very popular genre in the App Store, so far, every release has seemed to lack the depth that we've been wanting. Alive 4-Ever seems like it could finally fulfill that desire. We'll take an in-depth look when its released. Alive 4-Ever has been submitted to the App Store for approval and will be released at $2.99.

I'll snag it, looks pretty sweet.
Plus… I have a ton of iTunes credit to burn
How do you get Itunes credit?
gift card, my birthday!
Um…didn't 7DA have all that stuff too? Just not as many stages. And even Terminator had some of those mission types.
Regardless, this game looks to give us more, so that's always a good thing.
I cant get enough zombie games!! Keep em coming!
hahahaha yeah no kidding. People complain that the survival shooter genre is taking a beating with as many titles as it is getting, but I say keep em coming. It never hurts, and while some of them sick, most of them are fun to play, if even just for a few minutes at a time. I really like that this one has Blue-Tooth Co-Op. I can't express that enough. While I don't mind Online Multiplayer games, I don't really do to much online gaming for the iPod touch. I do however, play games with my wife and local friends sometimes where Wi-Fi isn't available, so Blue-Tooth is awesome.
Those are some huge monsters.
Wow, looks a bit slow to me.
Could be a nice dual shooter. So, bring it on. And give the option to toggle the sticks off. Perfect solution in Minigore, once you know how to control, you don't need to see these sticks on screen anymore.
But I love the enemy design and the blood
Mr. Broken Record!
Are spawn points and item placement in levels randomized (iDracula) or all pre-scripted (Shadowgrounds)?
Yay for multiplayer! I've always wanted it for idracula
Local wifi multiplayer or friends list/contact based?
bluetooth multiplayer (4 players total).
Are these zombies, or mutants?!
Regardless, game looks really cooool, and I wasn't a idracula fan either.
Robotron 2084 was one of my fav games as a kid. I'm just saying. I didn't like Kill Monty though.
multiplayer sounds sweet. def looks like boomers and tanks from l4d
Left 4 Dead, Resident Evil, iDracula in 1 game? wow!
can't wait to co-op with my friends
totally buying
No online multiplayer? Pass.
Very polished game in all the ways, worth the $2.99. The unique critic is the robotic animations i any cases, by the rest great work.
As long as it offers MUCH more than iDracula I am buying it
wtf, this is like l4d4iphone, hahaha,
is that a smoker at the end of this vid???
