Upcoming 3D Space Shooter 'Rebel Onslaught'
posted by Blake Patterson on December 31st, 2008 11:02 AM EST in Shooter, Upcoming Games, iPhone games, iPod touch gamesSimon Jacobs of mobile development group Xen Games recently sent us details on an upcoming 3D space shooter they will soon be bringing to the iPhone platform.
Rebel Onslaught puts the player in control (via tilt or onscreen joypad) of an advanced space fighter facing hordes of alien invaders of several varieties, including gun turrets, fighters, landing ships and bosses. Combat ranges across various environments (Earth levels, alien battleship levels, etc.) and involves dodging incoming enemy fire and obstacles while targeting enemy forces.
Stay tuned for a closer look at this title when it becomes available in the App Store.

This reminds me of Rogue Squadren on the gamecube and that was amazing so i have hi hopes for this.
Please don't be like Iron Man. And yes, if this was like Starfox/Lylat Wars… guaranteed HIT!!!

Darn it Blake! xD
All these shooters look the same. This game better be frickin' AWESOME!
Aw man, this game looks cool. I'm a big fan of Venger, so I hope this is similar to it.
I WANT
Def looks cool. I'm guessing a $4.99 price tag.
ETA? Price?
Gr8! The iPhone is seeing more and more 3d games like this
Just finished playing Rebel Onslaught and it is everything that it claimed to be. The tilt controls, crisp graphics and response time are all top notch. This is a game well worth the money. Great job Xen Games.

This game is not fun. When you continue play after a 'game over' you are only given one life. This needs to change! Should be given the default amount of life upon game restart.
