Interactive Fan previously released some screenshots for their upcoming iPhone game Fan Caps. The game was released to the App Store this morning [$5.99, App Store]:
Choose between loads of caps, fields and balls, move your cap and hit the ball in the right direction to fool your opponent and score a goal. Use your abilities to score as many goals as possible playing against the computer or wirelessly against a friend, and enjoy your spare time with this mobile 3D game. Fan Caps features touch controls and accelerometers-based camera.
The game offers both computer and head-to-head Wi-Fi play as well as some attractive visuals.
The actual control mechanism, however, was a bit of a surprise as it uses a vector (hold and pull) method to strike the ball rather than direct control of the puck. We’ll publish a full review once we have had more time with this title.
I think this game is impressive! Seems to be an audio glitch sometimes though -- it goes silent occasionally -- anyone else notice this?
It should be noted that apparently you must be connected to the internet (so the app can retrieve the ads I am assuming) otherwise it won't let you play.
I'm sticking with 'Air Hockey'.
Tried using wifi multiplayer, doesn't work :-( Both of us just stay stuck on the "Connecting to Opponent" window.
To the people above.
1) AUDIO: there is known issue with audio. please email support at flipside5 to resolve this.
2) INTERNET CONNECTION: you must be connected to the internet via WiFi, EDGE or 3G only the FIRST time you run Touch Hockey: FS5. Every time after that no internet connection is required.
3) WiFi Multi-Player: make sure both devices are connected via WiFi on the same local network and both can obtain an IP address. It will then work.
The response has been 'amazing' and thanks for the great feedback. Expect some great updates soon.

I hope there is an ad free release like the other titles by this dev. I'm glad that this is available for those who want a good game without the cost. I'd however rather pay to be free of ads, and this game really is the nicest looking of all the Air Hockey games. It would be sad to have to pass it up because of the lack of a paid non ad supported version.
updated to the latest version - every time i start the app it says "file not found"
i've gotta jailbroken 2.1. i've installed this game via itunes, i've got the icon on my iphone but it doesnt' work. when i open it, the initial game home creen appears n then returns to my home screen. what do i do? this is happening with the other four games i tried downloading from itunes. Help me out please!!
i hv this problem too. when i open the apps, the home screen will appear for two seconds and then returns to my home screen! i tried delete the apps and re-downloaded it. but the problem still cannot be solved.
is there supposed to be a button for the 9 level game play???? because i don't have one!! help?

This is excellent! Amazing, as most of you said. It's really fun and can keep you occupied, although there is a small audio glitch, but RARELY happens, the puck sliding sounds don't come on, it only happened to me once.
