Company of Heroes ($13.99) debuted on mobile through the iPad version earlier this year before it arrived on both iPhone and Android. Feral Interactive brought Sega and Relic’s RTS classic to mobile in an excellent conversion and somehow made it play brilliantly even on smaller screens. Read my review of the iPad version here and impressions of the iPhone version here. Today, Feral Interactive finally announced that Company of Heroes: Opposing Fronts is coming to iOS and Android in early 2021. Company of Heroes: Opposing Fronts is a standalone expansion for Company of Heroes featuring two new singleplayer campaigns, the British 2nd Army and Panzer Elite in Skirmish mode, and more. Company of Heroes is one of the best conversions of a PC game to mobile so I have high expectations of its standalone expansion Company of Heroes: Opposing Fronts. You can check out some screenshots from the original PC release on the Steam page. Watch the trailer for the iPhone and Android version of Company of Heroes below:
Despite it being a standalone expansion, Company of Heroes: Opposing Fronts will be available as an in app purchase for $3.99 as confirmed by Feral Interactive on Twitter. Feral Interactive will reveal the release date next year. If you haven’t bought Company of Heroes yet on any mobile platform, you can buy Company of Heroes on the App Store for $13.99 right now. Check it out on Google Play here. Supported iOS and Android devices for Company of Heroes are here. For iPhone, it runs on all iPhones since the iPhone 6s. Check out our forum thread for it here and the official website for the mobile conversion here. Have you played Company of Heroes on iOS or Android yet?
