I recently upgraded from an old iPad Air 2 to the new iPad Pro and I’ve been slowly getting back to playing more of my backlog on iOS. Darkest Dungeon: Tablet Edition ($4.99) is something I’ve enjoyed across multiple platforms but it felt excellent on iPad. Despite it going on sale, it is more than worth the asking price with all DLC on iPad for me. The port was done with Blitworks (who are one of my favourite studios for all their PS Vita and Nintendo Switch ports). Read our review of Darkest Dungeon on iPad here. iPadOS 14 and 14.1 had Darkest Dungeon: Tablet Edition unplayable thanks to crashing on launch. Today, an update has gone live (version 1.4) to fix this. Watch the trailer for the newest DLC for Darkest Dungeon below:
Darkest Dungeon: Tablet Edition is out now on iPadOS worldwide and it is not a universal app. The Shieldbreaker, Crimson Court, and Colour of Madness DLC are also available as in app purchases in addition to the Musketeer that is available as a free in app purchase. If you’ve not picked this up yet, you can buy Darkest Dungeon: Tablet Edition for just $4.99 on the App Store for iPad. As usual, it is available for a lot more on other platforms including Nintendo Switch. Hopefully a future update can bring in full cross platform saves across consoles, PC, and iPad.
