During a livestream that just ended, Square Enix revealed Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai – Tamashii no Kizuna for iOS and Android. Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai – Tamashii no Kizuna is being developed with DeNA and is one of the three upcoming games in the Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai project. Barring this iOS and Android game, a new arcade game and home console game were revealed for Japan. Given how Dragon Quest games are hit or miss when it comes to Western releaeses, it is too soon to say what happens to this one. As of now, Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai – Tamashii no Kizuna is scheduled to release in 2021 on iOS and Android in Japan. The DeNA and Square Enix release is a “dash RPG". It reminds me of Pokemon Masters. There is no firm release window barring 2021 as of now. A localisation is pretty far away if at all right now as well.
