Stardew Valley ($4.99) on iOS continues to be a must buy game. Since launch, it has received multiple updates fixing and enhancing controls and bringing in new content that other platforms have been getting. Read our review of the iOS version. We even featured it as our Game of the Week. The big 1.4 update for the game has been live on PC and consoles for a while now. We’ve been waiting for the mobile update that was initially set for last month. Chucklefish finally gave us an update on when iOS and Android players can receive the 1.4 content. It has been rolled out on a few Android devices for testing and bug fixing. The update will be on iOS soon.
The Stardew Valley version 1.4 update adds a new end game mystery, new events, fish ponds, a new farm map, 60 new items, 14 new music tracks, massive improvements to collections, and a lot more. The full patch notes are here but there are spoilers so be warned. Ahead of this update’s release, Chucklefish have discounted the game to just $4.99 on iOS. Now is a great time to get the game if you haven’t already ahead of its big update. You can buy it on iOS here on the App Store and for Android here on Google Play. The 1.4 content update is a free update. You can also bring your PC save to iOS and if you aren’t sure how to do it, read this but keep in mind that PC 1.4 to mobile 1.3 saves are not compatible. Here’s our forum thread on the game for more discussion.
