Over the years, Capcom has ported a ton of games to iOS and Android devices and while my favourites are the Ace Attorney games just because they play best with touch controls, I was very excited when Monster Hunter Stories ($19.99) debuted on the App Store and Google Play in Japan. If you’ve never heard of it before, watch the trailer below:
When it comes to ports from consoles to mobile, the price point is always a concern for many since some games are either made free to play or end up being bad conversions. Monster Hunter Stories was handled on 3DS by Nintendo in the West and it still costs $39.99 there. The iOS and Android release debuted at $19.99 and the port is fantastic. Read our review here. We also featured it as our Game of the Week when it launched.

Monster Hunter Stories is available for $13.99 (as a full premium game) on the App Store and Google Play right now. If you still aren’t sure if it is something you will enjoy, give the demo a shot. It is available as MHST The Adventure Begins . I’m glad to see this get such a gorgeous port on iOS. It is already one of the best looking 3DS games and pretty much outshines the mainline Pokemon games on that platform when it comes to visuals and performance.
$10 and I’ll bite, any more is too much for mobile games that can stop being supported or even removed from the store entirely at any time.
WOW, why does this need to be approved?
This is easily one of the best games on the App Store for hours of content per dollar. And graphics, music, gameplay. It's a blast and I can't recommend it enough. I hope it can get more love because THIS is exactly the kind of thing I love on my devices and I hope Capcom keeps it working on iOS.
