The long-awaited Pokemon GO (Free) accessory that helps you catch Pokemon while out and about is finally available: you can now buy the Pokemon GO Plus. Do note that finding it might be a bit tough – Amazon and GameStop are the primary retailers, but are both sold out online. I’d call around town to various GameStops if you need it today. Otherwise, you might have to wait until the hype dies down a bit to nab one for yourself.
The Pokemon GO Plus will help you catch more Pokemon while out and about – you link it up via Bluetooth LE to your phone, and when you’re near a Pokemon, it and your phone will vibrate, allowing you to just tap the Pokemon GO Plus to try and catch the Pokemon. Hopefully Nintendo can help keep this in stock, as it could quite possibly come in useful if you’re out and about but aren’t necessarily playing the game. Plus, with the Apple Watch support, there’s some handy ways to play Pokemon GO without necessarily having the app in front of your face. Assuming you’re able to find the Pokemon GO Plus, of course.

nintendo will have to propose far deeper games for me to get interested. endless runner... really?
The deeper games remain on their dedicated hardware as it is their stated position to utilize mobile to help drive new players to their hardware. This is my understanding.
They are utilising mobile for financial benefit first and foremost
Why do I feel like you will be playing this game the first day of its availability? ;)
Nintendo wants you to get the deeper games on its hardware. As much as people visiting Touch Arcade are looking for the deeper games on mobile devices the reality is that most mobile game playing is happening in games that are convenient to play intermittently. Runners fit nicely.
And while I know there are proponents for on-screen dpads and buttons for action platforming games, it is a far worse experience on a mobile device than it is on dedicated hardware for most.
Tetris ?
Deep ? No
Game of the decade ? Yes.
Games are not about how deep the scenario is, or graphics or what ever.
Games are about entertainement and how long it keeps you play !
No, It's not an endless runner. Do people even take time to read an article about things before complaining? Apparently not! It's sad.
Agreed. I originally thought it was an endless runner as well, for about three seconds, then I read the app description. Man, so much can be learneded from reading.
Super Mario Bros wasn't about deep gameplay. It's about fun. I really cannot wait for this game. As a Nintendo fan I'm very very happy to have Super Mario on my iPhone and keep other intensive games on my 3ds. Although I heard they are bringing Fire Emblem. That sounds pretty deep?
Yet when you look at the popularity of endless runners vs the "deeper games" you speak of... Basically my point is that they're right to cater to the larger audience and not just toward people like you or me.
And I should add... I think the fact that it isn't freemium will hinder its success (in terms of both revenue and active players).
Why do you think this is endless runner? It's not.
It says December at the end of the video.
The delay is for ANDROID, not iOS.
The problem with Nintendo is that they are "too Japanese". The Japanese are nothing if not their traditions. Few companies can survive these days unless they adapt to the market climate instead of clinging to tradition.
Sure...
The Japanese are "traditionally" unsuccessful in the business world, automotive, tech, electronics, video games...
Right?
Maybe someday Japan will buck tradition and bring electricity to Tokyo. Someday...
Is it going to be free to pay or premium?
Free to download, pay to unlock the full game. I believe it's a $5 unlock
$5?! I was ready to pay $15. Like I did for FFVII. Like an idiot. For the 3rd time. Like an idiot.
I heard it's $20 and I hope what I heard is correct.
i think that price is the last thing people think about when they can get a Mario game on iOS.
Premium. They haven't announced pricing. Source: Apple Sept Keynote SMR announcement.
Probably "pay-up-front" like Carter said. Then F2P with IAP.
Oh c'mon, "maybe" they have some sort of exclusivity deal with Apple? Sudden realization? Of course they do! Apple didn't approach them only to say "hey, we think you should make a Mario game for mobile devices!" No. Apple approached them to get an exclusivity deal, much like they did for PvZ2 a few years back. I'm disappointed that Nintendo is choosing to lie about it rather than state the situation as it is.
Can't wait for this game. So glad Nintendo didn't take the freemium IAP route with micro transactions.
Nintendo should take the mobile market seriously it's huge and they can make tons of money now a lot of people playing their games on emulators and that brings no money so why not releasing also for the mobile market it's a win win situation for Nintendo and gamers so fingers crossed.
