If you enjoy losing, losing, and then losing some more while trying to figure out a single level, then you should pick up Mos Speedrun 2 ($0.99), which has gone free for the first time ever. If you haven’t played the game before, on the surface it’s a platformer where you try to get to the end of a level as quickly as possible; yet, the game is so much more than that. Mos Speedrun 2 offers additional challenges on top of finishing a level as fast as possible such as collecting coins spread throughout the level, finding and exploring hidden levels, and so on. As our very own Carter pointed out in his 5-star review of the game, this is a very deep game with a number of objectives that you’ll have to complete if you are to unlock future worlds.
Still, keep in mind that the game is brutal and will have you calling your iPad or iPhone all kinds of names, but for many, the challenge is where the fun lies. So, for those players Mos Speedrun 2 is just the thing. Fortunately, the controls work fine even without a controller, so no “it’s the virtual buttons’ fault" excuses for you. I don’t know how long the game will remain free, so pick it up while you can.
