We know it’s a very busy time of year for new releases, but if you’re looking for a nice freebie to check out, God of Light ($1.99) has just gone free for a limited time. This is a light-based puzzler where the goal is to use mirrors to redirect beams of light around a level to illuminate the Source of Life in each level. It starts out easy enough, with single colors of light to use, but eventually beams of light criss-cross, and different colors of light come into play, making it rather tricky.
God of Light is absolutely gorgeous, with vibrant colors and fantastic lighting effects, as using the beams of light to illuminate the level – or the optional fireflies – is key. The game was originally $1.99, and does feature in-app purchases, though these are just to buy more energy for the illuminating fireflies, or $2.99 to unlock all of the game’s 125 levels at once. The game also boasts a soundtrack from British electronic music act UNKLE. For a gorgeous game with some interesting challenges to take on, you could do worse for free.
Siralim deserves a lot more love than it has received. I'm glad you mentioned it here. This game has kept improving from its debut and it is only a beginning according to the dev.
Great game, but have they made the font bigger yet? It's unplayable on phones (but okay on iPad).
The UI is being reworked and with it will come a bigger font. Don't know the ETA though.

Correct! It's almost done. It will go into beta testing in about a week or so, and should be out before the end of the year if all goes well.
Funny that you said with Terraria comes not doing your hw. I took had to take off work today to finish studying for my finals thanks to "accidentally" playing Terraria and that massively awesome 1.2 update. Had so much fun with that game on PC, having soooo much more fun with it on my 5S.
The Siralim dev is top notch. Very responsive to users and, as can be seen, quite devoted to the game. The game is rock-solid, too.

so much more attention and love then I got right now. Bought on PC and IOS and
you can easily transfer saves between both (also on Android) systems. So much
depth and the graphics fit the game perfectly.

I bought "This is Not a Test" when it first came out. With the latest update, they've changed it to a freemium title, making it black and white and putting ads into a game I already bought. They now want me to buy it AGAIN, "Upgrading" with a $3 IAP to regain what I already bought.
AVOID THIS DEVELOPER, DON'T SUPPORT THIS SHYSTER.
