If you’ve been paying close attention to developer Nitrome on social media and teh Interwebz, you’ve no doubt noticed that they’ve been teasing a new game for some time now. Over the past couple of weeks, they’ve released brief teaser trailers for the game, but nothing that actually gave away what type of game it was or what it was about. Not even a name. Well, that changes today as Nitrome has officially unveiled their new game as Gunbrick, and they’ve released a new trailer that actually shows the game itself in action.
My first thought after seeing the trailer for Gunbrick was that it was Brickroll (Free) meets… oh I don’t know, Mega Man maybe? Contra? Basically, rolling brick platformer meets awesome, pixely action game. Whatever the case may be, Gunbrick looks sweet, and Nitrome makes great games like Icebreaker ($5.99) and 8-Bit Doves ($2.99) so I feel pretty confident in getting excited. They hope to have Gunbrick available in early January, and in the meantime you can check out the game’s previous teaser videos on Nitrome’s YouTube channel if you missed them before.

Fantastic digital implementation of the board game. No online multiplayer yet just local wifi. Still this is a must buy for board gamers and hex strategy players alike!

But releasing it without being able to play with other players outside your local network is definitely the one negative. Can't believe they released it without this feature since if it had it, it would sell like hotcakes!!
on FFG at Gen Con this year Fantasy Flight, I'm pretty sure asynchronous, online multiplayer is coming. It's just wasn't available at launch. I'd expect it in an update.
Coming from a reputation on mobile as Elder Sign: Omens and being Fantasy Flight games for sure this game is huge surprise and yes one the best games until now

It's quite awful, I played the soft launch and deleted after playing 4 levels - you repeat the same contract over and over with different silly little requirements. Don't hold your breath.
Oh no... Don't tell me that they actually made a very crappy version of a sniper game with stupid goals and taking a piss at the Hitman series all in one go... I knew this game seemed a bit to cool to actually be true. Man, IF you're right, then these devs will brake my mobile gaming hearth and my faith in all future gaming. Im still going to try it though, but I for sure hope it will be more to it than what you said... Thanks for the heads up on this one. I will lower my expectations for this game, even though Im a huge Hitman fan... Can't believe they've raped one of my favorite game series yet again...

Swords of Anima is another TBS game that is already in the app store and not in this weeks list. Battlelore and this one seems very promising, all in all i'm happy this week.

Nothing but boring looking puzzles and little strategy games. One of the weakest Wednesday game releases I have seen. Not even one game that looks even interesting enough for a download.
How about a "weep" week. So much crying and moaning. What a tragedy that the endless flow of fresh entertainment has been disrupted by a holiday about being thankful. Junkies.
