Major ‘Razer Nexus’ App Update Adds Revamped UI, Game Discovery, Controller Mode Enhancements, and More

TouchArcade Rating:

Back when the Razer Kishi V2 launched on iOS, I covered it quite a bit, and continue to use it daily on my iPhone 11. If you’ve not read my review of it, check it out here. I also compared it with the BackBone One PlayStation Edition and with console controllers. The Razer Nexus (Free) app was quite disappointing compared to the BackBone app. Today, Razer pushed out a major 3.0.0 update for the Razer Nexus app on iPhone and Android. This update brings in a revamped interface with multiple background options, enhancements to controller mode on Android, optimized performance on Android, and improved game discoverability. Check out a screenshot from my iPhone below:

The UI improvements let you get to games quicker while the discoverability update lets you filter by stores, controller support, and more. On Android, you get a few more enhancements like less USB power consumption during sleep, and more. If you already use the Razer Kishi V2 on iPhone, the app is definitely worth downloading as a nice hub. If you’ve not gotten the controller yet, I love it and use it daily. Check out the official website for the controller here. You can download the Razer Nexus app on the App Store for iOS here and on Google Play for Android here. With the BackBone One and Razer Kishi V2, we finally have two great options for controllers on iPhone. I can’t wait to see what both companies do this year with potentially USB C and more coming into the iPhone lineup. Do you use the controller often?
