One of the Apple Arcade launch games, Shinsekai: Into the Depths () from Capcom is leaving the service this month. Capcom’s announcement on Twitter confirms that Shinsekai: Into the Depths, also currently available on Nintendo Switch, will no longer be available for download from August 15th. It will no longer be available to play after August 29th. Shinsekai: Into the Depths is an undersea exploration game that ended up being a very good metroidvania style experience. I’ve been looking at the launch games for Apple Arcade and wondering which ones will go next, and here we are. It is sad that things have reached this stage, but that’s how things are going for older games on Apple Arcade now. At least Shinsekai: Into the Depths is also available on Switch, and I grabbed it there since I knew this would happen. I’ve been buying many games I enjoyed on Apple Arcade through Steam or Switch. Hopefully the ones that are actually not playable on other devices do get ported over eventually.
