‘Crashlands 2’, Sequel to Our 2016 Game of the Year, is Coming to Mobile in 2024 Exclusively Through Netflix Games

Here is something I was not expecting! The lovely trio of brothers that make up Butterscotch Shenanigans have apparently been working away at a sequel to their critically acclaimed open world crafting adventure Crashlands, which just so happened to be our Game of the Year in 2016 and remains as one of our all-time favorite mobile games, and they’ve just unveiled a sequel and its new trailer today during the Guerrilla Collective 2023 Gaming Showcase. The name of this sequel is… Crashlands 2! Bet you didn’t see that coming. From the trailer you can see that the game has adopted a really cool new art style and slightly different perspective, but is still unmistakably a Crashlands game. Check it out for yourself.

One interesting tidbit is that Crashlands 2 will be coming to PC via Steam, and you can go ahead and Wishlist that bad boy over there right now, but it will also be coming to mobile exclusively through Netflix Games. Yes, another big get for Netflix. Both versions will launch simultaneously sometime in 2024, and given the absolutely stellar cross-platform-iness of the original Crashlands (yes I just made up a new term there) I’m guessing there will be progression syncing between the two versions. At least I hope so, I’m totally just guessing at this point. I’m just very excited for Crashlands 2 and hope to be hearing much more about it in the near future. In the meantime, you can talk about this one in our forums.
