Following its initial reveal, NetEase and 11 bit’s Frostpunk Mobile had some details revealed through an FAQ back in May. Over the weekend, Frostpunk Mobile early access went live in the Philippines. The official Frostpunk Mobile website confirmed that this is a limited test aimed at testing the build and service stability of the current build. It is only available in the Philippines and on Android with no details of future tests or regions. This build still features a lot of the game in its early stages of development so things will change. If you haven’t played Frostpunk yet, it is a city building survival experience where players take on the role of a leader during the 19th century trying to build and maintain a city while managing resources, making choices, exploring, and more across various story scenes. The test is live as of August 20th with no end date mentioned. If you’ve not played Frostpunk before, check out the console trailer below:
Frostpunk Mobile will feature an Endurance mode and a Serenity mode with the former being a challenging mode devoid of microtransactions while the latter offers an endless mode that is easier with microtransactions for architectural appearances that require rare resources. These resources can be earned in-game as well. The initial launch of Frostpunk Mobile was planned to be a single player game but it may get social gameplay in the future. If you’re in the Philippines, you can check out Frostpunk Mobile early access through the limited test available on Google Play here. Until Frostpunk Mobile‘s full release, check out the official Frostpunk Mobile website here. Hopefully NetEase reveals plans for iOS and more regions in the near future.
