‘The Last Campfire’, ‘tint.’, and ‘Marble Knights’ Get Big Updates on Apple Arcade

Last week, Apple surprised with not just the sheer amount of new games added to Apple Arcade but also new categories for the service. I already thought it was a great week for the service with Fantasian and Wonderbox releasing on the same day but Apple clearly had bigger plans for last week. These included new originals like Clap Hanz Golf from the makers of Sony’s Hot Shot’s Golf (Everybody’s Golf) games, a new Taiko no Tatsujin game, World of Demons from PlatinumGames, and more. This week, Apple has pushed out updates to some interesting games on the service including The Last Campfire, tint., and Marble Knights.

The Last Campfire from Hello Games gets its first update in months adding in new standalone puzzles, replay puzzle options, a new diary entry page to read all the entries you’ve found, performance upgrades for iPhone 12 and later, and support for ProMotion displays on iPad. tint. sees a quarter of all levels redesigned, new achievements, new levels in Book VI and Zen Modes, and improvements to the tutorials. WayForward’s Marble Knights got its biggest update yet with the new Battle Arena, Race, and Panel Battle for up to four players. Check out our forum threads for The Last Campfire here, tint. here, and Marble Knights here.

Legends of Kingdom Rush, Frenzic: Overtime, and the excellent Leo’s Fortune are listed as coming soon for Apple Arcade so I expect them to roll out beginning next week worldwide. For those confused about the double listings on the App Store, Apple Arcade versions of existing games have a plus at the end of their name to differentiate the listings. Head over to our dedicated Apple Arcade forum for discussion on the service and every game included here. What do you think of the new game and category additions to Apple Arcade and have you been playing Fantasian and Wonderbox?
