Cinematic Visual Novel ‘Necrobarista’ on Apple Arcade Just Got Updated to Bring in the First Free Narrative Expansion

TouchArcade Rating:

Necrobarista from Route 59 Games finally hit Apple Arcade and PC platforms last year. Necrobarista is a cinematic visual novel set in a coffee shop in Melbourne with a brilliant soundtrack. A few weeks after release, Route 59 announced that Necrobarista will be getting free gameplay and content additions. Today, the game has been updated to 1.02 on Apple Arcade bringing the first free narrative expansion titled “Walking to the Sky". This is available after completing the main story and it adds about two hours of content for players according to Route 59. We picked Necrobarista as one of the best mobile games of 2020. Check out the full list here. Watch the launch trailer for Necrobarista below:

In addition to the “Walking to the Sky" expansion, Necrobarista also has improved access to Game Center achievement tracking and a redesigned loading screen. It is going to be interesting to see what else is added to the game in the future through updates. I hope it gets a Nintendo Switch physical release once all post launch content has been added into the game. Check out the soundtrack for Necrobarista if you’ve already played it. Necrobarista is now available on Apple Arcade here and Steam. Don’t forget to check out our Apple Arcade forum for discussion on the service and every game included here.
