Recently, the iOS 14 Apple Arcade section of the App Store revealed four upcoming Apple Arcade releases. These included The Last Campfire () from Hello Games (No Man’s Sky) which was only confirmed for PC and consoles before. The Last Campfire is an adventure game about helping Ember find hope in a journey that takes you into a gorgeous world full for dark forests, mysterious ruins, and more. Your aim is to light the last campfire. The Last Campfire just got a new gameplay showcase as a part of a set of new indie announcements from Sony for PS4. Watch the new gameplay walkthrough for The Last Campfire below:
The Last Campfire has controller support and is a singleplayer experience. It is now available on Apple Arcade. Check it out here on the App Store. The game is still rolling out worldwide so if it doesn’t let you “get" it yet, try after a little while. Check out our forum thread for it here. The initial release date was leaked by Apple itself thanks to the iOS 14 App Store. It is going to be interesting to see how this game does on all platforms. After an initial reveal, there wasn’t much known about it until the App Store page went live and with today’s gameplay walkthrough.
While this isn’t the kind of game Apple is reportedly looking for in Apple Arcade, this is exactly what I want to see on the service. Day and date releases for indie games from developers who have made games I enjoyed arriving on iOS is perfect. For all other Apple Arcade related things, check out our dedicated Apple Arcade forum for discussion on the service and every game included here. What do you think of the newly revealed games and updates?
