‘Pokemon Masters EX’ Is a Major Update to ‘Pokemon Masters’ Out Now in Today’s 2.0.0 Release on iOS and Android

Last week, DeNA announced massive changes and updates coming to Pokemon Masters (Free) on iOS and Android. Pokemon Masters has been updated today to version 2.0 that brings various enhancements and changes to the game including a name change to Pokemon Masters EX that signifies how much has changed and what the developers want to do for the future. For today’s update support for the Champion Stadium has been added to Explore. This will go live on August 27th letting you battle the Elite Four and Champion of each region. Sync pairs can now be raised above 5* to 6* as well. Pokemon Masters EX brings an updated training area with new items needed for the new level cap. Barring those, other improvements include sync pair display changes, Battle Villa updates, changes to som menu designs, and more. Watch the video below showcasing these changes and more:

Beginning August 27th, players will be given gems until September 13th as a part of the 1st anniversary celebrations for Pokemon Masters EX. It is going to be interesting to see the changes coming to Pokemon Masters EX and how it evolves this year on both iOS and Android. The previous roadmap before the anniversary update is here. Maybe there will be something to tie into the upcoming Pokemon Sword and Shield expansion pass content that will arrive later this year.
