‘The Elder Scrolls: Legends’ Teases Isle of Madness Expansion With New Trailer

Whether you’ve been faithfully playing The Elder Scrolls: Legends (Free) since it first released or have drifted away from the CCG over time (and I’m definitely in that latter category despite having plenty of fun with the game), Bethesda is doing its best to get you back into the fold with Isle of Madness, the game’s most comprehensive story expansion so far. As you can see in the trailer below, the focus here is on the Shivering Isles, a region from Elder Scrolls lore that is ruled by the Prince of Madness himself, Sheogorath. It’s implied you can make a deal with him for more power, though just like Thanos said to young Gamora in the meme you saw so many times last year, the cost may be … everything.

Also undoubtedly included in that price: Your sanity.

Some of the cooler-sounding incoming features from Isle of Madness include new Double Cards that can be played once and then split into two separate cards, and Dementia and Mania lane conditions which sound as appropriate for the expansion’s theme as you can get.

Bethesda already has a blog post up in case you want to find out more before Isle of Madness drops on January 24. And if you’ve already heard and seen enough to know you’re all-in on some Sheogorath goodness, you can pre-order the expansion in either a $19.99 regular version (all three chapters, one card back and one title) or a $49.99 Premium Map Bundle (all three chapters, one card back, one premium card back, two titles and all Isle of Madness cards unlocked, premium, and playable upon release). If you’ve been squirreling away in-game Gold, each chapter can be purchased that way too.

The Elder Scrolls: Legends Twitter feed is the place to go for updates until release day, but we’ll also have something cool in the way of a preview next week, so as they said in the pre-internet era, watch this space.
