It’s Wednesday again, we’re under siege by another onslaught of new iOS games, and believe it or not, today is Spiderman Day. Or, if you’re not into super heroes I suppose you could choose to observe Homemade Pie Day instead. Alternatively, you could just eat pie while watching Spiderman, which seems to be the best course of action. I think it’s fair to say Pocket City ($2.99) is going to be the star of the show this week, and we’ve already got a review up. Spoilers: It’s really good.

Anyway, stay tuned for our full roundup later this evening.
honestly, this kind of list is useless...
yes, we all know that dozens of games pop-out every week, but you are supposed to sort and review them and not just vomit a list of names
anyway, Juanito looks VERY nice...
pitty that there's not a word about it on the "article"
It’s the only one I grabbed from that list!
The cadence of how we handle releases is as follows: Early morning we post this list of forum threads so people who don't spend a ton of time on the forums can see what's being talked about. Everyone in the TouchArcade writers crew grabs what they're interested in and starts playing those games to write about them. Around 10:00 we post a "full" roundup which includes screenshots, descriptions and similar.
tl;dr- What you're asking for we do, it just takes more time, and we post these iterative articles because a lot of people just want to know what's out.
The Wednesday night roundup is honestly the article I look forward to the most on Touch Arcade. Since mobile games have such a low barrier to entry I would rather just try out most things myself and decide from there. So please don't listen to the naysayers, there are some on here that really appreciate these new game updates.
I enjoy the full list that comes out in the evening but it seems that lately the list has come out pretty late. It seems the trend has been at least an hour or two after 10:00 and sometimes later. I get that it takes a lot of time to generate those lists and I really appreciate the work that you guys put into it but it was definitely better when it was reliably hitting around 10:00.
I'm also not a fan of the list that comes out earlier in the day, but that is mostly because of the format. It's a lot nicer for me at least to see screenshots of the games than it is to have to open up several links. If I was browsing the site from a computer it may be different but I look at TA primarily on a mobile device and navigating the list is kind of a pain.
As a side note, the group at TA put a lot of work into going through and finding games to put on these lists, so to say that they are just "vomiting" a list of names is not only rude, but a what you're implying is a oversimplification of the process. Also, just because a game isn't on the list right now doesn't mean it won't be there tonight.
TA isn't "supposed" to do any of this. The only people that dictate what the TA staff is "supposed" to do are Eli and Jared. If you don't like the "article" as you put it, then don't read it. Don't sit there and take petty jabs at the guys who put a lot of work into making one of the best mobile gaming news sites currently out there.
The reason they sometimes come later is because we'll include preorder games which sometimes don't actually go live until around midnight. Just the nature of the App Store, we publish these as soon as we have all that compiled. Jared typically starts working on the post with all the screenshots and stuff around the same time I publish this list, which I can throw out in about 20 minutes vs the ~4-6 hours the "full" post takes.
I figured it was a pretty long process. Thanks for the reply!
