Last week PikPok began teasing a new upcoming live event for their smash hit first-person runner/zombie shooter hybrid Into the Dead 2 (Free), and that event has now gone live. It’s called the Untamed event and it sees main protagonist James crossing paths with a tiger who, much like himself, is looking for a loved one lost in all the madness of the zombie apocalypse. That creepy circus setting that was in the initial teaser seems to hint that our tiger friend (yes, miraculously the tiger appears to be quite friendly) is after a companion that was locked up by the traveling circus show, and so you embark on a journey together to find the missing tiger and outrun a raging forest fire. This isn’t the first time the game has had a tiger as an option for a companion, and as you might recall tigers are pretty bad ass at viciously taking down zombies. Check out the trailer for Untamed.
The new storyline and TWO new tiger companions aren’t all there is to the Untamed event, as PikPok has partnered with global wild cat conservation organization Panthera to donate 50% of all proceeds from selling the in-game tigers to the organization’s efforts in celebration of Global Tiger Day on July 29th. Get an awesome tiger in-game friend AND feel good about helping save real life tigers? That’s a win-win. The event is running right now but will only last through August 3rd, so hop into Into the Dead 2 and check out the new levels, tiger companions, and storyline of Untamed before the event ends next week.
