The App Store is no stranger to Zelda-like games. In fact Oceanhorn ($7.99) made quite the name for itself when it was originally shown off for how good it looked for a mobile game at the time and how it took inspiration from The Legend of Zelda. Fast forward to today and we even have Oceanhorn 2 set for release but neither of these is inspired from the 2D Zelda games. That’s where Ittle Dew 2 comes into the picture. Ludosity’s sequel to Ittle Dew built upon the game and is a great 2D Zelda-like experience with a lot of charm. Watch the trailer for it below:
Ittle Dew 2 saw a release on multiple platforms initially before hitting the Nintendo Switch last year with an enhanced port that has exclusive features. The release was also notable for getting a lovely first run physical edition that seems sold out everywhere now. Content wise, the Switch release has about 50% more content apparently and it costs $10 more than other platforms. The version Ludosity showed off in the Tweet is the original Ittle Dew 2. No word on pricing (it will definitely be less than the Switch version) or a release window as of now for it.

I’m looking forward to trying out Ittle Dew 2 when it hits iOS at some point in the future. The video in the Tweet above shows it off running on an Android phone with virtual controls. I hope there is controller support on iOS when it does eventually release. It has been a lot of fun playing it on Switch and if you enjoyed The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds, this is one to look forward to.
