TouchArcade Rating:

Hello everyone and welcome to another Touchstone Tavern, our roundup of the best Hearthstone (Free) stories and videos from this past week. The past week was on the quiet side, with nothing really earth shattering happening. We are officially in the post-expansion lull, so there isn’t too much going on. Still, there are some interesting guides on various decks you can put together, a guide on what legendaries you should be crafting, stories on the game’s negativity, and more. How is your Hearthstone gaming going? Are you enjoying the current state of the meta, or are you ready for a change and for new cards to come into the game? Let me know in the comments.

Negativity in the Pro Game: Whose Fault Is it?

I don’t think you needed this article to tell you that there’s plenty of negativity in the pro circles of Hearthstone. The writer wants to know whose fault it is, mainly based on Brian Kibler’s recent video on the same topic. Kibler talked about how a game like Magic has its focus on tournaments whereas Hearthstone is exactly the opposite. This fact leads to very different types of content produced by the gaming and esports side of the game. He does discuss the issue of RNG, but he doesn’t believe that it’s the true source of the game’s negativity. The writer disagrees with Kibler and does believe RNG has something to do with it. Druid’s Strongest Decks

If you want to play around with some strong Druid decks, check out this story. It provides decklists and guides for Token Druid and Jade Druid. Both are pretty strong decks, although Jade is pretty weak against aggro decks. Good and short guides are always welcome, and I think you can get quite a bit out of these two.

Strong Standard Mage Decks

Similar to the previous story, this one offers guides and decklists for Burn and Secret Mage, both strong and fun decks to play. The writer goes into detail on how to put those decks together, what role each card has in the deck, and how you should play the decks depending on what you’re facing. If you’re a beginner player, guides like these are really good teaching tools, so take a look and try to tease out deckbuilding philosophies. You can read the whole story here.

Craft the Right Legendaries

If you want to know where to spend your hard-earned dust, this guide is for you. It offers a list of the best Legendaries to craft while also explaining the process behind choosing those Legendaries. This guide is useful in two ways since it both offers a useful list but, more importantly for new players, shows how to go about evaluating Legendary cards. The list is broken down in various tiers, with Bloodmage Thalnos, Alexstrasza, Tirion Fordring, and Leeroy Jenkins named the best, most versatile Legendaries in the game. Go here to read more about the lists and see whether it’s time to put some of that dust to work.

Disguised Toast Talks Suspension

As we talked about in last week’s Touchstone Tavern, Disguised Toast was briefly suspended for showing an auto-win exploit on his stream. This week, he responded. In the video he posted, he talks about how he ended up getting suspended and expressed his worries about Blizzard being able to in a way control his content. Apparently, they have compromised and he will only releases videos on bugs and such issues after Blizzard have fixed them.

Make Your Own Elise the Trailblazer Papercraft

If you like Elise the Trailblazer and are looking for a new deck decoration, check out this short guide on how to make a papercraft version of the famous Legendary. There’s a PDF you can download and instructions to use to put her together. A fun idea and a fun deck decoration.

Top Standard and Wild Decks of the Week

HearthPwn put together the best Standard and Wild Decks of this past week, and there are some pretty good ones in there. There’s Murloc Rogue, Lyra Miracle Priest, Dragons of Oz and Bloodlust Hybric. The Wild side includes Infinite Thaddius, TTK Exodia Mage, Queen Carnassa, and more. And, as is usually the case, there are both cheap and expensive decks, so go pick one and start playing.
