Pokemon GO (Free) continues to give us entertaining in-game events, and the latest one is no exception. The Pokemon GO Water Festival starts today and will run until March 29th, and for its duration the spawn rates for Magikarp, Squirtle, Totodile, and their evolutions have increased. There will also be a greater chance of encountering Water-type Pokemon originally found only in the Johto region in areas where Water-type Pokemon commonly appear. This event will be a great opportunity to grab those water-type Pokemon if they’re missing from your collection.

Starting today, you’ll also have access to a new avatar wardrobe item, the Magikarp Hat, of course. Enjoy hunting for all those water Pokemon and may the gods of Magikarps be with you.
