A few weeks back, we wrote that Mi-Clos’ Antioch: Scarlet Bay was scheduled to release March 2017. Unfortunately, the game has been pushed back, but the good news is that it’s only for a few weeks since the game will release on April 6th, and I personally can’t wait. If you don’t know what Antioch is all about, this murder-mystery interactive story will have you playing with either a friend or a stranger as you both cooperate, or even clash, on your way to solving the mystery. There are dialogue choices to make, clues to investigate, and suspects to interview (I hope we can play bad cop/good cop) as you both try to uncover the secrets hiding in the city of Antioch.
You and your fellow detective will play the game at your own pace. Once one of you makes a move, the other one gets a notification that it’s his or her turn to advance the story. The narrative will of course change depending on your choices, and I think having someone else make decisions alongside me will make the game feel more unpredictable and, hopefully, even more entertaining. If you like interactive narratives and want to try a new twist on the genre, keep an eye out for Antioch: Scarlet Bay.
