Former Fire Phone Exclusive ‘Saber’s Edge’ Goes Worldwide on Mobile This Month

Hibernum’s Saber’s Edge has taken a long, long route to iOS – it was once an Amazon Fire Phone exclusive, and while it was quite the fun game, not a lot of people really played it because not a lot of people bought the Fire Phone. I can’t blame them, the phone was not really that great. The good news is that the core match-3 RPG concept was pretty strong, and Hibernum believed it in enough to rework and re-release it for iOS and Android devices at large. While the game has been soft launched, Hibernum is set to release the game later this month worldwide. Check out the new intro trailer and some fresh screenshots:

The game will have you commanding a team of heroes in battle, each with weapons that you can forge them with, utilizing a unique rotating battlefield. It’ll be interesting to see if Hibernum can make this one catch fire in 2016, years after its initial release, but the game’s certainly got the potential to be at least a fun match-3 RPG when it releases. Hibernum doesn’t want to reveal the exact date yet, but it will be really soon…
